Writing My Place in America: The Poem

These words that I write tell a story,
a story told many times, over many years.
Stories that unite different kinds of people
many people of which have interesting pasts.
A past of heartbreaks and extreme happiness
using words that express feelings locked away in your mind.
Papers emblazoned with the writing of America
Writing that symbolizes the achievements we made as one
Achievements that will change the world
to make our country a better place to be
forever and ever.
It will reunite our country
to be a strong and great nation
and a vision of a great history.
Memories are revealed
from a past of greatness and a future ahead
We don't know what the future holds
until it reveals itself.
But, we will stick together
with the leadership of a new president
that posesses strong ambitions and determination
through times of pain and suffering, healing and happiness.
We will prevail a transformed country
and we will defend this great nation.
